Don't Look Down

Don't Look Down is a first person survival horror game where the player is thrust into a liminal place and must find a way to escape.

This was my final major project during my time at university and took me the course of 1 semester to develop it, entirely by myself.

My goal for developing this project was to showcase my level design and technical design abilities as well as develop areas in my skill set that were lacking at the time.

Key Development Areas:

- Critical research and analysis of common horror game tropes.

- Research into Playstation 1 development techniques.

- Sourced asset modification to be more inline with the PS1 graphical appearance.

- Sound asset creation + modification to sound more like a PS1 

- Unreal Engine 5 blueprinting to create all gameplay systems

- Design, Development and iteration

- Project management and time keeping

- Redesigning and iterating on feedback and criticism

- Professional Game design document + level design document
